The Crew

Jesus Breed

A working company of singers and players, founded and led by Richard Michael. Seven years of carrying the worship rather than decorating it.

Jesus Breed was founded seven years ago to make one thing repeatable: a ministration that holds its standard whether the room seats forty or four thousand. That is harder than it sounds, and it is the reason the crew rehearses like a band and travels like one.

The work is ordinary and constant — gospel meetings, conventions, church gatherings, midweek services, the annual Revealing Jesus edition. The crew arrives early, plays for the room rather than the recording, and leaves without needing to be the story.

What the crew is not: a backing band assembled per booking. The same people rehearse together, which is why the ministration does not have to be rebuilt from scratch every time.

How it works

Three ways the crew serves a gathering.

01

Full ministration

The complete crew — lead and backing vocals with a live rhythm section — for conventions, crusades and full-length gatherings.

02

Lead with your band

Richard ministers with your resident musicians. Charts and keys are sent ahead so one rehearsal is enough.

03

Partnership

Ongoing work with a church, ministry or convener across a season rather than a single date.

The roster

The parts that make up the sound.

Member names and photographs are being gathered and will be published here.

Lead vocals

The voice that carries the ministration and sets the pacing.

Backing vocals

The blend behind the lead — harmony, response, and the swell.

Keys

The bed the whole ministration rests on, and often where a song turns.

Guitar

Texture and lift; the part you notice only when it stops.

Bass

The floor. Holds the room steady when the tempo breathes.

Drums

Restraint first. The crew is judged on what it does not play.

Sing with Jesus Breed.

The crew grows slowly and on purpose. If you play or sing and the work above sounds like yours, start a conversation.
